Anyone who forgot to renew their AMRA membership this year should consider rejoining fairly quickly as we are currently offering a large reduction in the joining fee for anyone who joins now who recently reigned. Note that this only applies to past members who were members earlier this year.

Find out what is in the current Journal. If you are not a member yet then you are too late to receive the printed copy of this issue but you will have access to electronic copies of recent issues if you join the Association.

Members who still haven't renewed their Membership which was due on 1st September are reminded that your renewal is now long overdue and that if you wish to remain a member (and receive the next issue of Journal) you need to renew immediately.

The branch programme now includes all activities through to mid-December.

Just to remind those members who were required to renew and have not already done so that you are now unfinancial. While we do have a grace period following the due date during which we will accept your renewal with no late penalties, the time is fast approaching when you will be considered to have resigned from the Association. Those members who did not renew within a few days of the due date will have the word DUE appear at the top right of the label on their September/October Journal as a reminder that they are late to renew this year and that if they haven't renewed since then that they had best do so immediately in order to retain their membership.

The winner of our first prize draw is member 7244, Ed Kozlowsky. He and his wife have been awarded an additional three year's membership of the association.

Members are reminded that a prize draw to win an additional three year's membership will take place on Tuesday 1st September. To be in the draw you need to be financial on that day. For those of you who need to renew your membership this year and have not already done so you will need to ensure that you do so in time for your renewal to be processed before the draw or you will be considered to be unfinancial and will not be included in the draw.

For those wondering how the draw will be made, it will be made by the computer that runs the membership system. A request will be sent to the membership database requesting that all senior and student members whose membership end date is in the future (ie are currently financial) with the records to be retrieved in random order and with only the first member found to be retrieved. That randomly selected member (and their family members if any) will receive the additional three years membership. Everything will happen automatically and all you have to do to be in it is to get your renewal in to the membership registrar in time to be processed before the draw.

Members are reminded that the July/August Journal has the renewal notice enclosed. If you have misplaced it then you can print a replacement from the Member's Area of this site. Don't forget that there are only a few days left to renew in order to be included in the prize draw.
