The Australian Model Railway Association Incorporated has set up two awards in order to recognise the best Model Railway and Prototype Railway sites on the web. If you have a web site that is devoted entirely (or mostly) to Railways then you are invited to submit your site to be considered for one of our web site awards. Sites for consideration may be devoted to any aspect of railways whether model or prototype or both. Sites which specialize in a particular aspect of Railways are particularly encouraged to apply.

These awards are open to everyone not just AMRA members.
You must be at least 16 years old to enter

There are two awards which are offered by the Australian Model Railway Association Incorporated. These are the AMRA "Great Site" award and the AMRA "You've Struck Gold" award. Sites which are submitted will be considered for both of these awards.

Award logos are copyright AMRA Inc and may only be displayed on web sites that have won that award. Award logos will be customized to contain the name of the site upon which they are displayed. Other web sites may only display sample logos after obtaining permission, in which case a link to their awards page will appear on our Other Awards page.

The Australian Model Railway Association reserve the right to exclude any site from consideration for these awards if we consider that the site has insufficient railway content or does not comply with our Standard of Ethics. Also, before submitting your site, please read our Privacy Statement.

Submissions will be processed in the order that they are received. A decision on whether or not to award our "Great Site" award will normally be made within one week of receipt of your submission and award winners normally will be notified within that time. As evaluation of submitted sites is a voluntary task performed by members of our Association there will be occasions where other tasks take priority and so we expect that there will be occasions where evaluation of a site may take longer. Should your site not be completely processed within seven weeks of receipt then we will notify you that judging of your site is delayed. Sites which have not heard from us within seven weeks can assume that their submission was unsuccessful. If significant changes to the site have been made by that time the unsuccessful site may be resubmitted.

Award winners will be presented with a customized logo that they can place on their site. A copy of the award logo presented will also be placed on our award links page with a link to the named site.

The links at the bottom of each page will allow you to jump to whichever page in the submission process that you want but to properly check that your site has a reasonable chance of winning one of our awards you will do best to step through the pages in order. To return to this page at any time just click on the black trophy icon at the top of any of the other awards pages (you will find it immediately to the right of the locomotive and level crossing icons that will take you to the AMRA home page and site map pages respectively).

If you have any problems with submitting your site or you have questions about our web awards please contact us.
